Support My Journey

Hi Everyone!

This marks the 8th year that the proud team members of the OVARIAN BLITZERS, a top fundraising road hockey team in the SCOTIABANK® ROAD HOCKEY TO CONQUER CANCER event, step onto the rink at the main event being held this year on September 29th.

Why do we do this?  Well, its very personal, with each of us having our own stories of how this disease has impacted us.  In short, we all believe that cancer can be beaten in our lifetime and without all of us raising awareness and needed funds for research, the odds are stacked against us.

We are led by our fearless Captain, Dr. Marcus Bernardini, a leading Canadian Gynecologic Oncologist, at Princess Margaret Hospital in Toronto.

Dr. Bernardini, along with his amazing team of professionals at the Princess Margaret, research and improve the care of women with gynecologic cancers.  Over the past 8 years, this incredible team of individuals on the Ovarian Blisters have raised over $400,000 towards this fight over the years......and we return again in 2018 but with an even bigger annual team goal --> to raise $150,000 in this year alone!

How can we do this? With fun and inspiring fundraising events with incredible individual and corporate sponsors - that is how!  The Ovarian Blitzer's would like to thank our past sponsors for their support and recognize our current 2018 sponsors who truly are making it happen again this year for the core events we hold to reach our goal including:

Over 173,800 estimated new cases of cancer in Canada are expected this year along and 76,200 of these cases will result in deaths - so it's time to take PROACTIVE ACTION to support the continuation of critical research and the work to help improve the care of women living with this terrible disease

Sincerely, with our thanks,

Team ProServeIT
